- Cloud hosting and content delivery: application execution, storage, networking, backups, and deployment.
- Managed databases and infrastructure: structured customer records, caching, queues, and recovery.
- Identity and access management: authentication, organization membership, and session security.
- Financial-data connectivity: customer-authorized accounting, banking, tax, and payment integrations.
- Communications: transactional email, notifications, and customer-requested delivery.
- Workflow and realtime infrastructure: background jobs, event delivery, and collaboration updates.
- Monitoring and support: error reporting, logs, uptime, diagnostics, and customer support.
- AI and document processing: customer-enabled extraction, classification, summarization, and draft preparation.
2. Provider controls
We evaluate providers based on the service and data involved and use contractual, technical, and organizational measures designed to limit processing to authorized purposes. Access is limited to what is reasonably needed. A provider may use its own affiliates or infrastructure subject to its contractual obligations.
3. Locations and transfers
Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, Backline will use an appropriate contractual or legal mechanism.
4. Changes and customer terms
Providers and locations may change as the Service evolves. Customers requiring a named vendor list, advance-change notice, data-processing addendum, or industry-specific commitments should request those terms before submitting regulated or specially restricted data. A signed agreement controls over this general page.
